What Is Systematic Kinesiology?
Have you ever just wanted to sit down and have a conversation with your body and just ask ‘What’s going on? What do I need to do to get better? Please, let me know and I’ll do it?’
In essence, this is where Systematic kinesiology steps in. This is the easiest way to describe it. Think of the sessions as a way of having that conversation with your body.
Your body holds the memory of everything that has happened, every way it has tried to adapt to stay in balance and ultimately what events have led to the symptoms that you are experiencing right now.
Your body will always tell you the truth. However, most likely you won’t be fluent in the language of the body. That’s where I can help and act as your interpreter.
When you ask the right yes/no questions (as I have been trained to do) your body will let us know what needs help and importantly what needs addressing first.
What is the priority?
There are times when this is not where your symptoms are.
Systematic Kinesiology can uncover the best thing to do at that time to help you to move forwards.

What Does Systematic Kinesiology Involve?
When working in person we find out the answers through muscle testing. Every muscle not only links to the movement that it does but also an internal organ, emotions, meridians and so much more. So, when you test a muscle using very gentle resistance if it stays strong then everything is working healthily. If a muscle tests weak then something needs to be addressed. It is then through the questioning that we can ask if that area is a priority and if so, what needs strengthening.
Examples of what the solution may be:
- Every area has its unique nutritional requirements. We can find the specific supplement/nutrient that you need.
- Blood and lymph (a way your body detoxes) flow may need to be improved. Often there is congestion in areas relating to symptoms.
- You may need to avoid certain foods for a time, as they are preventing recovery.
- There may be memories from the past or emotions that may need clearing.
- Electrical devices can upset the functioning of the body and so you may need to limit your exposure to them e.g. mobile phones or provide protection through devices such as the EnergyDOT.
Everything listed above will be assessed and addressed during a session.
The beauty of Systematic Kinesiology is that you take guesswork out of the equation. We simply ask the body what it needs and listen to the answers. The important element is to follow that wisdom and guidance.
Initial Consultation
During your first appointment, we will cover your medical history. It is comprehensive as all of the systems of your body are interrelated and affect each other. This medical history gives a broad overview of how things are for you right now and also helps to guide me to the best first areas to start checking.
We will extensively cover your reason for attending, what your symptoms are, how they affect you, what the triggers are and more. This stage is important to gain clarity on your reason for attending. Being diligent and thorough at this stage helps to provide all the information for the best detective work to start.
Once we have covered your full medical history and you have explained what you would like help with, I will explain what will happen during a treatment and you can ask any questions that you may have.

Taking all the information into account we will then start the treatment. In person this will be through muscle testing (online using a pendulum a full explanation of this is described in the FAQ’s section) to find out the areas that are in need of help and importantly those that are your bodies priority right now.

An Example of How The Systematic Kinesiology Approach Differs.
Systematic Kinesiology aims to address the most important area first. Sometimes your body needs strengthening in a different area/body system first to provide the foundations for lasting change. On other occasions, two issues can be linked in a way that isn’t immediately obvious from a common Western medicine point of view.
For example:
You may be attending because of recurrent and chronic back pain and have IBS. To me, on a Kinesiology level, these two areas are linked. So, I would start checking your muscles that are associated with digestion first, these coincidentally include the muscles around your lower back, abdominals, and upper thighs. We would then find out what the important areas to focus on are to start strengthening these areas, reduce inflammation and initiate the recovery process.
Of course, your body could have better ideas as to where to start and that’s fine we will find the priority and work on it during your first session. Your body will guide us in the right direction. I will also explain how seemingly unrelated areas are in fact related during a session so that you can understand your body and what is going on. It will then all begin to make sense.
Is Systematic Kinesiology Suitable For Me?
If you are ready to find out the root cause of your symptoms and ready to take the necessary action in between sessions, then absolutely Systematic Kinesiology is for you.
Whilst I am unable and do not diagnose conditions, if I feel that your symptoms warrant further investigation by a medical doctor or if another form of treatment would be better suited for you then I will discuss that with you during your appointment.
At the end of your first session
You will have a better understanding of your body and what it needs. You will be equipped with the knowledge that you need to make those first steps to a healthier happier body.
If needed you will leave with your personalised Bach flower essence remedy. This is included in the treatment cost if your appointment is at our in-person clinic. For online sessions, there is a £5 charge to cover P&P.
Any supplements will need to be paid for independently.
Are you taking Prescribed Medications?
It is important to know the names of any medications that you are taking right now. There are some supplements that should not be taken with specific medications for example fish oils if you are taking a blood thinner. If it helps, please bring your prescription details with you as the correct information is essential. If you are taking prescription medications, then you must check any supplements with a GP/Pharmacist first.
If you are unsure if now is the right time e.g. you are recovering from an operation or if you want to clarify that your symptoms can be helped with Kinesiology then feel free to get in touch (link to contact us page) or book a complimentary clarification call with me to discuss.

FAQs
How Many Sessions Will I Need?
Clients typically feel a difference after the first session, with over 80% experiencing improvements between 2-6 sessions. There are several factors that will influence the speed of your improvement:
- How long you have previously had a particular issue
- The status of your health: your body may need building up to take on further improvements
- Other factors that may be holding back recovery, e.g. external stresses and environmental factors such as the WiFi, blue light from computers and mobiles etc.
- How active you are in following the advice between sessions
- Allowing the right time interval between sessions (leaving too much time can mean any improvements may regress)
How Much Will Supplements Cost?
Every session is unique to you, so it is impossible to predict a set amount. On average the additional costs are £20-£80. There are times when they can be more, normally this is just for a short time period and is needed to give your body the boost that it needs to create the improvements you are seeking.
If you need a Bach flower essence remedy sent out to you there will be a £5 fee to cover the costs of P&P.
I’m Taking Supplements Already So Do I Need New Ones?
Within every Systematic Kinesiology Session we will test which supplements are the priority for you right now. Sometimes that can be all of the supplements you are taking other times it is none of them.
The important thing to remember is that the highest priority is to help provide the tools for your body to recover as quickly as possible for balance and better health. This can mean purchasing supplements that are different to the ones you are taking right now.
If you are already taking supplements, please bring them along with you to your session. I will always test what you are taking to check if they are appropriate first and foremost. My objective is to try and ensure that you take exactly what you need no more or less.
How Long Will The Interval Between Treatments Be?
This will be guided by your health status/starting point and the aftercare that has come out of the session. Commonly there would be a four-week space between treatments for your body to take on what has happened. If you need supplements it allows time for them to take effect. There are occasions when a weekly or fortnightly session may be needed in the short-term to support your recovery and help build on the improvements before moving to longer intervals.
At each session we will monitor your progress and discuss the optimal amount of time to ensure that we maintain improvement.
How Do Online Appointments Work?
Each session is conducted on Zoom.
During the first session we will go through your full medical history in same way as we would if we were meeting at the clinic. Any consent for treatment will conducted electronically.
For the treatment itself you will be asked to relax somewhere in a peaceful environment where you can relax and allow the benefits of the treatment to take effect. I will work with a pendulum to uncover what your priority needs are and carry out the treatment. Afterwards I sned you a message to let you know this part of your session has concluded. When we meet back on Zoom I will discuss my findings and provide aftercare recommendations including supplements and Bach flower essences if these have come up during the session (there is an additional £5 to cover P&P) Supplements will also need to be purchased separately.
If certain emotions have come to the fore as a priority we will work to transform these directly on zoom before the end of your session.
We will then discuss a suitable time period for a follow up if this is needed.
