Demystifying Pain
Understand what's keeping you trapped in a cycle of pain
Learn the solutions so you can feel hope and freedom
4 x Live One Hour Sessions
Helping you to find your lasting solution to overcoming chronic pain
Do you live with ongoing physical pain, feel confused about why it’s still there and would love to finally find a solution and lasting relief?
This four-week online course is designed to help you to identify the triggers to your pain, understand why your body is responding in the way that it is and become aware of the solutions that are available to you.
What we'll cover in the De-mystifying pain course?
Pain doesn’t continue for no reason.
If you’ve tried to find a solution through your GP, Consultants and/or hands on treatments such as Chiropractic, Osteopathy, Physiotherapy, Massage and similar, but you never feel any real or lasting change, this is usually because there are other factors underlying your symptoms that are keeping the pain cycle going. These areas are precisely what we’ll be covering in this 4-week course.
During this course, we explore the most common contributors I’ve seen over the last 25 years of working with people in pain.
Everything I share comes from real world clinical experience, not theory.

What you’ll gain from our four weeks together
- Understand why your pain has continued, even if you’ve already tried many different approaches
- Be clearer about what is contributing to your pain specifically
- Recognise how stress, threat perception, and past experiences influence physical symptoms
- Understand the emotional links to different areas of the body
- Learn how digestion, inflammation, and gut health can drive pain
- Have clear, practical actions you can start applying straight away
- Feel more confident about the treatment and support options available to you
Most importantly, you’ll leave with clarity and direction, rather than feeling stuck or at the mercy of your symptoms, wondering whether life will ever feel different.
What we’ll cover:
Rather than following a rigid structure, this course is shaped by you and the people in the room. The themes below form the framework for our sessions, with space to explore what’s most relevant to your pain.
Understanding pain and the mind body connection
• Why pain can persist even when scans are clear
• How language, beliefs, and past experiences influence symptoms
• What helps the body feel safe enough to heal
• Knowledge drawn from ancient Eastern wisdom alongside modern understanding
Emotional and stress related drivers of pain
• How unresolved experiences and trapped stress show up physically
• The emotional links to different areas of the body
• How ongoing stress creates internal load
Digestion and inflammation
• The digestive system and its link to pain
• Inflammation and immune responses
• Food, drink, and their impact on symptoms
Our external environment
• Environmental stressors and how they influence pain
• Reducing the overall load on your body and nervous system
Treatment options and physical contributors
• Understanding different treatment approaches and when they can be helpful
• How physical therapies can support recovery
• The impact of scars on pain and movement
• Exploring options such as McTimoney, PSYCH-K®, Root Cause Therapy, Systematic Kinesiology, Visceral Manipulation, CranioSacral Therapy, and ScarWork
During each session, I’ll invite you to reflect on the information shared and consider how it relates to your own symptoms and experiences.
What we won’t be covering:
Posture, exercises, stretches.
If you suffer from chronic and recurring pain the important thing is to release what is keeping you trapped with your current symptoms. You don’t need to stretch muscles or strengthen. For many people they have already tried exercises and stretches. If you have and find the effects are short lived or only help to a limited degree, this is a promising sign that the content covered in this course is the missing link you’ve needed.

A Little Bit About Me
Hello, I’m Rachael Kennard-Wall, and I’ve been working with people in pain since graduating in 2001 (before too which I’ll explain on the course)
My career began as a McTimoney Chiropractor, whilst I de-registered after 20 years I still use the McTimoney technique. My approach evolved as I became aware of other factors that were driving people’s pain, keeping them stuck. This led to me training in a number of different areas.
I’ve seen again and again that chronic pain rarely has a single cause. It’s usually the result of multiple factors interacting or building up over time. That’s why my work brings together physical treatment, mind/body approaches, trauma awareness, nervous system regulation, food/nutrition and practical lifestyle support.
I’ve trained in and use modalities including PSYCH-K®, Root Cause Therapy, Systematic Kinesiology, Barral Institute Visceral Manipulation, the McTimoney Method, and more. I bring this combined understanding into every session of this course.
Testimonials
Whilst this is the first time this course has run, I thought I’d highlight what can be possible…..
“Rachael is unbelievably brilliant.
Let me explain; I am a 63 year old, overweight man running my own busy business. Whilst also having to be full time carer for my disabled wife and for the last two years I have been suffering from osteoarthritis in my right knee. My doctors have been treating me with quarterly injections of cortisone and have recommended I have a knee replacement. There is a waiting list of about 12 months, but even if I have the operation, no one has considered how I would carry on with my caring duties during the weeks of recovery.
Then I met Rachael at a virtual business networking event where she said that she can help people improve their health naturally. I asked if she could help with the pain in my knees, as I was in an awful lot of pain with bone-on-bone grinding in the knee (There is no cartilage left). She said yes, she could help, so I booked in to see her.
She explained that she would use a mix of (PSYCH-K® and Kinesiology). I hadn’t heard of either of these so admit I was somewhat sceptical, but as the pain was getting overpowering, I agreed to it.
The first session was mainly PSYCH-K® and I left with five phrases I had to repeat to myself a few times each day. I admit I was feeling even more sceptical towards the end of the week but thought “in for a penny in for a pound” and returned for the first session of Kinesiology.
Wow, I have now had three sessions of Kinesiology, which I still do not understand, but it works! I no longer feel that excruciating grinding in my knees with every step. I can carry out my caring duties, I can walk the dog, go shopping, stand at the cooker cooking the meals all with virtually no pain. This, in turn, allows me to concentrate on my business better as I am not worrying about how I will cope with these tasks with painful knees. Also I haven’t needed to have any more cortisone injections or to see the doctor since I started seeing Rachael.
I strongly advise anyone who is suffering from osteoarthritis to make an appointment with Rachael as you will not be sorry.
Rachael is a lovely caring lady who is happy to explain what she is doing and why, even if how it works is still a mystery to me. As an added bonus I have lost ½ stone since seeing her.
Thank you so very much Rachael.”
If you’ve been living with pain and feel like you’ve run out of answers, this course is designed to offer clarity, understanding, and a way forward.
Knowledge removes fear, and fear can play a significant role in pain (which you’ll learn more about on the course)
With understanding comes empowerment, and from there, real and lasting change becomes possible….
FAQ's
I completely understand where you are coming from. If everything you have read until this point sounds familiar, that you have tried every single one of them already then maybe a quick conversation first would be worthwhile. Otherwise, from experience I am aware that there is always a solution, when you look in the right place, find the true root causes then lasting change is possible. It may be that it’s not that you can’t be helped, just hat you haven’t found the right solution yet. I can’t guarantee that it will be uncovered during this course. What I do know is that you will at least have a better idea of your next best step.
Many people on this course will have lived with pain for a long time. Our bodies always have the capacity to heal when we provide the right environment. My aim is to help you to discover that environment to allow your body to re-balance.
