What Is Manifestation?

Manifesting is about taking back control of your life.

Becoming the architect of your future, rather than passively allowing life to happen to you.

It is easy to go through life just accepting what happens. Settling for where you are and what you have. And there’s nothing wrong with that if you are also happy, fulfilled and don’t feel stuck or trapped.

BUT, if you’re always daydreaming for a different life, and new reality then clearly you want more or at least something different.

Manifestation is about understanding that you really do have the power to shape your life and the experiences you have.

In this article I’ll share with you the laws that underpin this process and methods you can use to manifest your goals and dream

Understanding The Law Of Attraction

A key aspect of manifestation is understanding the Law Of Attraction.

You may have heard the phrase – “if you can believe it you can achieve it” , or “you get what you focus on”.

These aren’t just a catchy phrases. Your thoughts shape your reality, and understanding this is the cornerstone of your journey to manifesting your goals.

Think about your own life:

  • What do you tend to spend you time thinking about?
  • What’s happening to you in the here and now?
  • What frustrates you?
  • What don’t you like, what you don’t have, the negative things that keep showing up for you.

So guess what you keep getting more of?

Like attracts like. If you focus on what you don’t want, all you are doing is reinforcing to your subconscious to keep looking out for more of that and bring that into your life.

So how do you change the pattern?

Let explore some simple actions you can start doing today

Define Your Desires With Clarity

Manifestation begins with creating and defining your goals.

The methods below help bring your subconscious onboard with youe life goals, but you need to get clear on what that actually is.

Try this simple exercise

Start by writing down what’s not working for you.

Take a moment to jot down what’s not working for you, everything that frustrates you, and what you want to change.

Now, flip the narrative and write a list of what you DO want.

Often the opposite to something you’ve already listed as a ‘Don’t Want’.

Ensure you write  your aspirations in positive terms and be as descriptive and clear as you can.

Clarity is the key to giving your subconscious a precise target.

Think of it as navigation steps for the mind. The more detailed the map, the less chance you’ll get lost, get stuck or give up and go back to where you began.

The Power Of WHY In Manifesting Your Goals

It’s not just about what you want; it’s about why you want it.

It’s easy to list of a load of material items that you’d like to have, a new car, bigger home, expensive clothes. But unless there is real emotion behind the desire, the drive to getting them isn’t there.

The bigger the WHY the easier it is to keep going.

So spend a bit of time getting the real reason you want life to change.

Why do you want to lose weight?

Why do you want to change your career?

Why do you want a house by the sea?

Understanding your “why” fuels motivation and sustains you on your manifestation journey.

Power of Positive Thinking And Raising your Vibration

How you think and feel has a big impact on the power of manifestation.

Getting clear on what you Do want, and having that emotive WHY helps you align your emotions with your dreams and elevate your vibration.

The more time you spend focusing on what you want and connecting to the feelings those goals create, the more you are staying in the vibration that is aligned to that future you.

Keeping your vibration high and connecting with your future is like tuning on a magnet that will start to pull that future towards you.

You can bring all of this clarity and awareness into your manifestation practice.

So lets go through some different techniques you can use.

Effective Manifestation Techniques

With any manifestation method, the purpose is to communicate the reality you want for yourself directly to your subconscious. You are giving it that map so that it can bring things to your awareness that will ensure you reach your goal.

The subconscious doesn’t know the difference between real and imagined.

It also doesn’t know time. Past, present, future are all Right Now for it. So the more you can immerse yourself in your goals and desires AS IF they already exsist, the more your subconscious will take them on board and bring that through to you.

Here are some of my favourite manifestation techniques:

Meditation and Visualization:

Immerse yourself in a vibrant 4D vision of your desired future.

Engage all your senses as if you are already there.

As you step into that future you what do you see around you?

  • Who is with you?
  • What can you see, smell, taste, touch?
  • Where are you, what colours are there? How do you look, act, feel in this reality.

Using Journaling:

There are lots of different ways to journal. When it comes to manifestion, you need to write as if your dreams are already a reality.

Describe your day, surroundings, and emotions with vivid detail. What are you doing, who are you with. Descirbe the place, people and things around you in as much details as you can.

Your journal becomes a bridge between your current reality and the one you wish to create.

Vision Board Creation:

This is great fun to do. Create something that you have on the wall as a daily reminder, a subliminal message if you like to your subconscious.

Use paper as big as you like and fill it with images and words that represent what you are bringing into your life.

Use specific images or things that represent the feelings or type of life you want. Draw yourself, cut things out of magazines, different colours and text.

A word of warning about photos of you. By all means have picture of you but be sure it’s aligned with what you want and doesn’t trigger memories of the past you are trying to move away from.


Working With Affirmations:

Affirmations are statements about your goals, as if they are already true.

The key to a great affirmation is it’s structure. Make your affirmations powerful by ensuring they are:

  • in the first person,
  • present tense,
  • positively stated,
  • emotionally charged.

These powerful statements are an instruction to your subconscious. You need to repeat them to yourself and give them the respect they deserve. 

They won’t work if you mutter them to yourself quickly as you clean your teeth. So ground yourself, connect with the words and feeling that go with the statement. Then say them aloud with conviction.

The Role of Gratitude and Taking Action

The impact of gratitude when manifesting

The simple act of gratitude shouldn’t be underestimated.

Gratitude helps to shift into a more positive mindset. A higher vibration. All of which helps put you in the right place to connect with your goals and ambitions.

So try this quick exercise.

Write down 3 things you are grateful for.

They can be simple things like the sun shining through the window, your favourite mug with your favourite hot drink to start you day.

Now  connect with the feeling for gratitude for each.

Can you feel the emotion in your body?

Can you feel a shift, a lightness, a smile?

Now write down 3 things you are grateful for from you vision for the future. 

Write each down as if it is already true. Then think about it, see it, feel it and be grateful for it AS IF you already have it in your life.

This only takes 6 minutes each day but sets you mind for manifesting and starts your day in a high vibration state.


Next you need to take action…

The Power Of Action - Take steps towards your dreams.

Where most people go wrong with manifesting their goals, is they wait for things to magically appear.

You need to be active in creating the life you want.

Manifestation methods help shift your mindset, change the focus of your subconscious but you still need to DO something. You still need to take positive action towards your dreams.

If you just expect things to show up for you, you will miss the opportunities your subconscious tries to bring to your attention.

Feed both your conscious and subconscious minds with daily actions aligned with your goals.

Taking action strengthens the muscles of the manifestation methods described above and accelerates the process.

Embracing the Journey of Manifestation

Things don’t happen overnight. it’s a journey of self-discovery and intentional creation.

Approach this journey with joy and flexibility, understanding that personal growth is an integral part of the process.

Our own journey took time, but we finally found ourselves holding the keys to our dream property. In a meditation I saw the view we now have from our back garden, and drew out a floor plan to the house we now have. Rachael wrote about having a barn owl on the land, and in fact we have 2.

Sometimes things can turn up quickly. Sometimes a little more work is needed. For us, quite a few ducks needed to line up so the chain of events could happen, but we never gave up. And that’s the key.

The clarity of your goals and the understanding of your “why” form the foundation that makes the rest easier to stick to.

Be realistic and kind with yourself

Manifestation is meant to be pleasurable and a joy in itself. Don’t treat this like a work project. Be kind to yourself and have fun with it.

If you loose focus, that’s ok. You are not going to be 100% high vibration, always focused all the time. That’s just not possible or healthy. You’ll find as you explore the processes we’ve discussed you’ll begin to change as a person. It’s part of the bigger picture of personal growth and development.

Allow yourself flexibilty.

As you grow, your aspirations may well shift too. And that’s ok.

If the goal changes, if the dream morphs into something else, great. You can create a new vision board, see how the meditation and visualisation changes.

It just shows you are on track and becoming the master of your life.

Kick Start The Process With Immersion.

A great way to accelerate the manifestation process is with complete immersion.

We’ve all done it. You have something you really want to change or create. So while you’re motivated you try a few manifestation techniques.

But how often do you find you’ve stopped using them after a few weeks?

You subconscious wants to maintain the status quo.

When you try to change that, it resists and pulls you back to where it feels comfortable. Even if that’s an unhappy and unfulfilling place to be.

By dedicating time working on your goals, your WHY and using different methods, you begin to create massive change from the start.
